What do you close?

An envelope. A box of keepsakes. A letter someone will keep longer than they keep most things. What if the closing meant something — a mark that is yours alone, pressed into warm wax?

A wedding invitation this spring. A business letter that looks like it came from another century. A gift box no one wants to open carelessly. The seal does not just close the envelope — it tells the person on the other side that you meant it.

What is a Press seal?

One die. Every impression identical.

A press seal begins as a design, hand-engraved in reverse into solid brass — deep enough, sharp enough, to hold its line in wax for as long as the brass survives. Press it once or press it a thousand times: the mark never wears, never drifts, never softens.

The die

Cut once, in brass

Each design is engraved in reverse, mirrored so the wax reads true. What you see in the catalog is the tool itself — the object that makes the mark, photographed exactly as it will arrive.

The impression

Pressed, not printed

Heat the wax, press the die, hold for a slow count of ten. What lifts away is a mirror of the brass — raised where the die was cut deep, sharp at every edge.

Always

A mark that doesn't fade

No ink to dry out, no ribbon to fray. The brass outlasts the correspondence, the relationship, the century — pressed fresh every time you reach for it.

The craft

You already know how this works.

Wax seals are one of the oldest acts of authentication there is — a mark pressed into something soft enough to take it, hard enough to keep it. Kings used them. Merchants used them. Now you can use one too.

There is one difference between an old seal and this one. The old ones were stamped from a master's workshop, identical to a thousand others bearing the same crest. This one is cut for what you choose — the design, the initial, the creature, the whole catalog is yours to pick from.
